Maxus Chile

Brand site on Liferay's 2026.Q1 quarterly release, with a model catalogue, a fleet channel for business customers and a quote tool. Here Object Actions in Groovy and notification templates take on the logic that would previously have needed an OSGi module.

Maxus was the group's first site built on Liferay's 2026.Q1 quarterly release, and that version jump changed how things get solved.

Up to 7.4, the business logic of a quote tool (validating fields, deciding which branch to route the request to, alerting the sales team) would have ended up in an OSGi module: compiled Java code, deployed into the portal and tied to its lifecycle. In 2026.Q1 that logic lives in Object Actions written in Groovy, edited from the portal itself and executed when a record is created or modified.

Notifications follow the same principle. Email notification templates are managed from the portal instead of being embedded in code, so changing the wording of an alert or adding a recipient stops being a development task.

The site covers the model catalogue, a separate channel for fleet sales (a different buyer, with a different process and a different counterpart) and the quote tool. The master page provides the common structure and fragments the reusable pieces.
