Kaiyi is a brand of the Chinese Chery group that entered the Chilean market with Andes Motor. The brief was the brand's complete site, with nothing prior to lean on: home page, range, quote tool, dealer network and press room.
The fundamental decision was not to write custom portlets. The whole site rests on web content and Objects, that is, on the CMS's native capabilities. It's more modelling work up front and less code, and in return the client can publish a new model, change a price or post a news item without depending on a deployment.
The model pages are long and highly visual, between seven and nine thousand pixels tall, with sections on design, equipment, safety and technology. Each is generated from the same template, so the whole range (KYX3, KYX3 Pro, KYX7 and the electric KYE 5) shares a structure and reads the same way.
The quote tool and the dealer locator complete the commercial loop: the visitor goes from learning about the model to requesting information or finding the nearest point of sale without leaving the site.
