Privacy policy — Chrome extensions

Last updated: 25 March 2026

This privacy policy applies to all the Chrome extensions I develop.

Controller

Developer: Giancarlos Gaona, domiciled in Chile. Contact: [email protected].

Data we collect

We do not collect personal data. Our extensions are designed privacy-first. No personal information is collected, stored or transmitted to our own servers.

Local storage

The extensions use the browser's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) to store only:

  • User configuration preferences (toggles, language)
  • Licence status and trial period
  • Licence key (only if the user enters it manually)

This data stays in your browser and is never sent to external servers, except for the licence key during validation (see next section).

Third-party services

Freemius (privacy policy): used solely for licence validation. The extension contacts the Freemius API only when the user activates a licence key and for periodic revalidation. The only data transmitted is the licence key and an anonymous installation identifier.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any other analytics or tracking service.

Extension permissions

The extensions request the following browser permissions, each with a specific purpose:

  • storage — save preferences locally in the browser
  • tabs — detect the active tab to apply optimisations
  • activeTab — interact with the current tab of the target site
  • Host permissions — access limited exclusively to the sites the extension optimises (for example, chatgpt.com) and to the licensing API

User content

Our extensions do not read, store or transmit the content of the web pages you visit, conversations, messages or any other user-generated data. The extensions only manipulate the visual interface (DOM) to improve performance.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels or any tracking technology. We do not fingerprint browsers or collect IP addresses.

Open source

The source code of our extensions is publicly available on GitHub for verification and transparency.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to correct, delete or export. If you want to remove the locally stored data, you can:

  • Uninstall the extension (deletes all local data)
  • Clear the extension's data from your browser settings

Extensions covered

  • ChatGPT Booster — performance optimisation for long ChatGPT conversations through virtual scrolling and memory management

This list will be updated as new extensions are published.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension update.
