Liferay Preview Mode Helper
A Chrome extension to preview Liferay content without the editing UI
Anyone who develops or reviews content on Liferay DXP knows the frustration of browsing a portal and running into toolbars, editing controls and admin elements that hide the real result. This extension was born from that need: seeing exactly what the end user will see, with one click.
Liferay Preview Mode Helper automatically injects the p_l_mode=preview parameter into every URL of the active site, forcing Liferay's native preview mode. That removes all editing controls, toolbars and admin widgets, leaving only the published content visible. The extension watches the DOM in real time with MutationObserver to intercept dynamically loaded links, so the whole navigation stays in preview mode.
The extension is published on the Chrome Web Store and works with any Liferay installation from version 7.0 onwards, including Liferay DXP Cloud. It uses Manifest V3, the modern Chrome extension standard, with Service Workers and the Chrome Storage API to persist per-domain settings.
